Tonight we had Willowton free range breast fillets for dinner, which we all (6) enjoyed.
The label has an Australian flag, and says “product of Australia”, but the bar code is 2154033008835 – so I’m suspicious, and not sure what to think.
I rang Aldi and spoke to a lovely lady, but she couldn’t tell me what the bar code meant, or really if the chicken had been imported.
This is important to me, as I like to support local growers, especially when we have such food industries in Australia. I paid a higher price for a free range product, thinking it was Australian. The tray under the chicken is does not indicate that it is recyclable; so it is very confusing.
Can you please tell me where this chicken really comes from? Thank you
